There are few things more rewarding than being around enthused fellow pilots and being part of a team launching a fleet into the sky. Glider clubs take good care of their tow pilots because of the key role they play in the operations. There is great commaraderie at the field, everyone is grateful, and you get to fly for free of course! Sharpen your piloting skills and make lifelong friends in a great sport.

The first step is to contact us to let us know you wish to tow and we will put you in touch with your nearest glider club. Each has its own experience requirement for tow pilots but lots of tailwheel time is a big plus at most clubs. Next become familiar with the Standard Signals that we use and go through this short Tow Pilot Course which covers the basics of towing safely. Last, your club will provide you with an orientation (each has slightly different procedures for operating the club tow plane and field safety learnings).
