Thomas Cassetta

Thomas has always had a lifelong passion for aviation that began when he soloed at the age of fourteen up at Harris Hill Soaring Corporation in Elmira NY.  He went on to acquire more than 2500 hrs in numerous types of aircraft over the past 35 years.  In 1995 Thomas purchased his first of many gliders, an ASW-20, and spent his summers flying cross country and participating in various regional contests.  As time went on and work slowly took over his ability to fly on perfect soaring days, Thomas transitioned over to power planes and has been enjoying his Aviat Husky ever since.  Thomas has recently retired and now can once again enjoy aviation on a more full time basis.  He is thrilled with this opportunity to act as Team Captain for the US Junior Worlds Team competing this year in Tabor, Czech Republic.
