Jacob Jr. was able to grow up next to a historic gliding site, Harris Hill, NY. Being a member of Harris Hill meant he had access to many great mentors and instructors that led him to his first regional competition in 2022. At this regional he was able to fly Harris Hill’s Discus CS where he took 3rd place.
Jacob worked at Harris Hill Soaring, serving as the lead tow pilot of summer operations for 2 years. After gaining 2 years of experience at Harris Hill Soaring, he was able to compete in the 2023 Standard Class Nationals in Reedsville PA and the 2023 Club Class Nationals in Dansville, NY.
These contests along with the mentors around him have shaped Jacob into a very passionate soaring pilot. He plans to take a Harris Hill junior along with his dad to Poland as crew in the hopes to inspire more Harris Hill juniors to enjoy the sport of soaring.
