This AD includes all SZD 50-3 gliders certificated in any category. It requires repetitive 50 hour inspections of the rudder pedal turnbuckles for cracking or wear with a 10 power magnification glass. This applies to turnbuckles that attach directly to the pedals. Any wear or cracks observed requiring ground until replacement.
This airworthiness directive (AD) becomes effective January 27, 2006, and requires the first inspection within 25 hours of this date.
