Congratulations to Eric Mozer, who has just been elected to the Executive Board of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale!  The results of the election were announced at the end of the 114th FAI General Conference, which took place online this year, for the first time.

The six-member EB, in conjunction with the FAI President, constitutes the leadership of the world’s only air sport federation, responsible for the promotion of all eleven recognized air sports and supervision of all international air and space records.

Eric will be stepping down from his current position as President of the International Gliding Commission, an office he has held since 2012.  (The only other American to serve as IGC President was Bill Ivans, who led the Commission 1976 – 1990).
