SCHOLARSHIP OVERVIEW

The Soaring Society of America (SSA)’s Youth/Junior Committee is pleased to offer a scholarship to assist an
eligible Junior pilot in becoming a gliding instructor with an award of $2,000.

AWARD DETAILS

Qualifications required to apply:

  • Age: 17-24
  • Rating: P/GL or higher
  • Achievement: FAI Silver Badge or Kolstad Century Award or better
  • Endorsements of one or more CFI-G’s who are willing to mentor you to this goal.
  • SSA Membership
  • Two letters of recommendation by members of the soaring community who know you well.
