Update on P-40

SSA continues to work with leadership from M-ASA with regards to the expansion of P-40 airspace. The periodic expansion of the restricted area is related to efforts by the Secret Service, the Department of Defense and the FAA to provide maximum protection for the President and government leadership at Camp David, Maryland. As of this report, M-ASA president Glenn Collins and SSA President Larry Sanderson have been in direct contact with FAA managers as well as the Secret Service (USSS). Plans are to develop a briefing and then conduct a general meeting with key agencies. The issues are not resolved but both Sanderson and Collins said that they felt the conversations with the USSS and FAA had been positive.
