Senior air traffic managers from FAA have just notified SSA President Larry Sanderson to expect a NOTAM tonight (Wednesday) that will permit some soaring operations to resume on Thursday. The release will undoubtedly have some restrictions and we will post additional information as it becomes available later tonight. We caution pilots and operators to wait for the NOTAM before assuming that all operations will be restored unilaterally. However, the news from FAA was very clear. We will start getting gliders in the air tomorrow. Stay tuned...
