Region 2 North - 6/17 Weather P3

High pressure centered off the mid-Atlantic ridging into the southeastern states . Weak flow around the high bringing in warmer, moister air than we've seen previously.
Despite the synoptic picture, various models (GFS, NAM, HRR) develop a 5,000-6,000 foot boundary layer in our task area with 3-4kt lift.    There is some indication that a thicker cirrus shield may develop mid-afternoon to cut down heating. .
Dewpoints are forecast to be 6-8 degrees F higher than yesterday, so Cu should form at around 5,000 feet.
Very light W winds early swinging to SW by later in the afternoon
