Region 2 North - Saturday Report UH

Saturday opened with lots of upper cloud. Weather Guru Erik Mann described the day as "not hopeless" Originally more aggressive tasks than day 1 were revised to much more conservative on the grid. Erik was the sniffer and reported  a tenth of  knot up to release height. Slowly this improved by 2:30 to where  we could sustain the fleet. Alas it never got good enough for a fair and safe task and the tasks were cancelled. Most pilots flew locally for and hour or two. One pilot elected to prove the decision to cancel wrong and his trailer  was seen leaving the airport later in the afternoon. Sunday looks cloudy, but you never know. Stand by but don't hold your breath.
