US Junior Camp Contest - Wednesday Wx and Task
The cold front that passed through a couple of days ago has stalled and the high pressure has moved east of us, so the winds are swinging around to the east and south. The day will end early as the high clouds and moisture move in this afternoon. It’s just a question of when. We hope to get a task in but mid-morning it is already starting to look iffy, so we shall see. More later...
Update: And they are off! Launch started at 12:15, Junior task opened ~12:50, R3 task opened ~13:20. Pilots reporting a mix of good lift (up to 6000ft) and dead air.
