Standard Class Nationals - Evening report

Pilots once again found soaring conditions in eastern Tennessee a bit disappointing, and the high rate of task completions everyone was hoping for did not happen today.  But four pilots did manage to finish, making this at least a modestly successful day.  Both those who made it home and those who fell short reported working hard in generally weak lift with ample opportunities for low saves.

The flat ground and rolling hills where our tasks have taken pilots really haven't yet produced the expected thermal conditions.  Fortunately, they have thus far allowed safe landouts and reasonably easy retrieves.
