Region 2 North - Don't Need A Weatherman To Know...

So, it's windy.  Really windy.  Like 40kts windy at 5,000 feet.   The monster low over Maine which has been driving our weather for the last couple of days remains entrenched.  Meanwhile, a double-barrel high over Ohio wants to show who's boss.  We're caught in the middle. Having worn the tops of the trees on the local ridge yesterday,  CD Jackie Dougherty and her advisors decided it was too risky to launch the fleet in turbulent and likely very challenging conditions.

As I sit in my office, I'm watching a couple of Cu valiantly trying to hang together, mostly without success.  The soaring forecast for tomorrow is very good, so spirits remain high.
