Region 5 North - Day 1 Report

The story today is cirrus. Lots and lots of cirrus. Thermals are blue, but they are out there, when you can find them. 2 hour TATs are called for all classes in an effort to rip a task from an unfavorable forecast and it works. David Coucke goes 52 mph in a great old ASW-20 to win Sports, Rob Ware overcomes flap envy to win Stds at 61 mph, Hank Nixon sets the pace for 15m at 62 mph and Bill Elliot smokes us all in 18m at 65 mph.

Dinner is the Perry classic “Chicken on a Beer” and it's delicious. Tomorrow has an iffy forecast, the only thing certain is that we'll see rain in the afternoon.
