Region 6 South - Day 3 Morning Report (Contest Day 2)

WxMan Frank Paynter advised that the cold front is not yet through CCSC, and will continue to move across the region today. He said the CAPE values (Convective Available Potential Energy) is the story today: when CAPE values get up to 1000, things get interesting, and today's values might reach 2500. Scattered T-storms are possible after 2 PM local, and soaring conditions look better to the east. We should have Cu,s - Smile - but they might go to 40,000 feet Yell.

CD Murray told the pilots to be on the grid and ready to go at 11:30, as there should be a good window, although probably a short one.
