Mid-America Soaring and Safety Seminar

February 23, 2019. Mid-America Soaring and Safety Seminar - Elgin, IL. Hosted by the ChicagoLand Glider Council (CLGC) 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The Seminar will host nationally known speakers covering topics of safety, competition, gear and gliders. The cost of the Seminar is being partially underwritten by CLGC membership to help keep registration reasonable. A continental breakfast, full lunch and afternoon refreshments are provided. 2017 Junior Contest Fees Rebate

The SSA Competition Committee is offering any qualified Junior pilot a rebate of 90% of their contest fees for a sanctioned Regional or National contest during the 2017 season.

Pilot Opinion Poll Open Until Nov. 5th

The annual pilot opinion poll is open through Nov 5.  Pilots on the US seeding list (i.e. have flown a contest in the last 3 years) are eligible to vote/participate.

US Contest Pilots, Register Online in 2009

The SSA recently upgraded online contest pilot registration. All US contest pilots are encouraged use the new online registration this season.

There are many advantages to registering online including complete entry and waivers using the new 2009 form along with a handy document checklist. Plus your information is remembered for future registrations. Contest managers will be happy as your entry will show up in their email box and the scorer can import online registrations directly to scoring software. Keep your Contest Manager happy and register online in 2009.

To register online go to the SSA web site (www.ssa.org) under the Sailplane Racing > Online Registration menu. You must be logged into the SSA web site to register.

Rules Committee Election and Poll

The annual SSA Rules Committee election and SSA/SRA Pilot Opinion Poll are open at http://adamsfive.com/survey/surveys.php. Both close on October 8. You are eligible to participate if you're on the Pilot Ranking List (basically if you've flown an SSA-sanctioned contest in the past 3 years). Please take a few minutes to vote and respond to the poll - they're your Contest Rules.
