Th Fai World Gliding Championships – Uvalde Texas

The competition will be heating up literally and figuratively this month in Uvalde, Texas as the United States is ready to host the World Gliding Championships once again. The 38th FAI event will include the Open Class, 18 Meter Class, and 20 Meter Multiseat Class. Team Uvalde is prepared to welcome 82 competitors, 66 entries, from 23 countries.

August 14: Official practice begins
August 17: Opening Ceremony
August 18- 30: Competition flying begins
August 31: Closing Ceremony
