Practice Day 2

Today is also the first contest day for the Sports Class Region 7 contest, which runs through Saturday.  The forecast was for weak lift and strong southerly winds, but soarable.

We staged on the runway and waited.  And waited some more.  The sniffer finally managed to stay up and reported reasonable lift.  But with 20+ knot winds and the lift nnot going very high, CD Charlie Minner decided to call off the day.  A number of pilots opted to fly, and for a while there were gliders circling low over the airport.  Some landed and a few appear to have gotten away.

We're now off to a burger  dinner at the Elks Club, so maybe will find out how the weather turned out.

That's about all for now.
