Club Class World Championships
As of Sunday, June 13, the 3rd Club Class World Gliding Championships have now begun! From now until Friday, June 25 the World Gliding Championships are being hosted in Elverum/Starmoen, Norway. Located at 60 degrees north latitude, the Norwegian summer brings long hours of daylight, allowing gliding under the "midnight sun". The thermals start early in the morning, and often last until 20:00 hours. Since June 1, several members of the U.S. Club Class team have been in Norway and day reports will be available soon. See the U.S. Team web site for up-to-the-minute reports directly from the championships.
