Soaring Safety Foundation Seminar at SSA Convention

Three guest speakers will inform and entertain early arrivals to the SSA Convention in Atlanta on Wednesday, February 4th at 6:00 PM. Each year, the SSA Convention traditionally begins with the SSF Seminar on Wednesday night. The seminar is free and will be at the Waverly Hotel, in the Galleria Room.

Bob Wander will entertain us with his talk on "Undershoot Accidents and 4th Grade Arithmetic". Burt Compton will relate his experiences moving his soaring operation from Florida to Texas and the new skills he acquired for "Soaring in the Wild, Wild, West." Pat Costello of Costello Insurance Associates may surprise you with very interesting information on maintaining your soaring "Insurability".

The Soaring Safety Foundation will also have a booth on the convention floor with the theme "Ask An Instruction". Managed by Burt Compton and Matt Michael, they assure us that even dumb questions will be cheerfully answered! So stop by the SSF booth for up-to-date info on becoming a SSA "Master" CFI, adding a towpilot endorsement, or having a Safety Survey conducted at your soaring site.
