BARNABY LECTURE - SEPTEMBER 13, 2003

Those who know Bernald know that he is a Hall of Fame member, an SSA Director of more than 30 years, a past Museum President and has spent numerous years involved with the IGC and FAI - he was instrumental in bringing flight recorders to the soaring community.

This year's Ralph S. Barnaby Lecture promises to be an evening of education and entertainment. Bernald Smith is the honored speaker and will be sharing his years of involvement in the sport. The SSA Board of Directors will also be holding their Fall Board Meeting from 8-5 pm on Saturday the 13th. SSA Board meetings are open to all and members are encouraged to attend. Both events are being held at the Radisson Hotel & Suites - 2330 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75220. Call 214-351-4477 for room reservations. Ask for the SSA room rate of $69.

The cocktail hour is from 6-7 pm (cash bar) with the dinner and lecture from 7-9 pm. Reservations for the Barnaby dinner, $30, are required and must be communicated to the National Soaring Museum no later than September 10th. Contact Mary at 607-734-3128, fax: 607-732-6745 or email nsm@soaringmuseum.org. We look forward to seeing you there for an informative and entertaining evening.
