Last Day at Sun 'n Fun

The EAA Sun 'n Fun Convention is the center of the aviation universe now through April 8 at Lakeland, Florida. This is the second largest aviation event in the world, after EAA "AirVenture" Oskosh.

Manfred Radius in his Salto sailplane and Steve Coan in his Windex motorglider will perform acro routines in the daily airshow. Click here Sun'N Fun for the airshow schedule.

The SSA Booth is located in Exhibit building "A", aka the Trade-a-Plane Building. Stop by and visit us, purchase a new book or soaring hat. Bring a friend to join SSA at a discount of 25% off new adult memberships. That's $48.00 for a new membership! We also share information with thousands of folks about where to fly gliders, and we have brochures from many of the soaring sites across the USA. EAA has invited me to conduct a forum on "Glider and Motorglider Ratings" on Saturday, April 5th at Noon in Forum Pavillion 3. Join us at our SSA Dinner on Saturday evening April 5th at the Branch Ranch country restaurant near Plant City. Please RSVP with Burt & Kathie Compton in the SSA Booth or call our cellphone, 1-800-667-9464. The weather in central Florida this week is beautiful, and excellent soaring is forecast. Come down to Florida this spring (we've been soaring all winter, where have you been?) Seminole-Lake Gliderport is just a few miles from Sun 'n Fun and Orlando. Tampa Bay Soaring Club is flying at Zephyrhills. Barry Soaring is near Palm Beach and Miami Gliders welcomes you as well. Soar Florida - bring the family - we'll show you a good time.
