Annual Eagle Fund Drive Exceeds Goal for Second Year

The 2002 Annual Eagle Fund Drive was the second annual fund drive conducted by the SSA. SSA Directors agreed to an agressive goal of $80,000 in voluntary donations. SSA Director of Development Dr. Jim Kashner today informed SSA President Larry Sanderson that the drive had achieved in excess of $81,000. This marks the second year that the goal has been met and exceeded. Kashner said that the names of donors are being acknowledged in SOARING Magazine again this year. He said, "The fund drive accepts donations for designated or undesignated purposes. That is, the individual donor may tell us how he or she prefers the funds to be applied to SSA programs. In many cases they simply offer the donation to support all ongoing programs." Sanderson said that the true value of the program lies not only in the money being given for important programs but in the over 1,000 members who go the extra step to give financial support to the SSA.
