P-40 Airspace Expansion Threatens M-ASA Operations

Sanderson said, "SSA recognizes the need to establish important security procedures and airspace protections. However, these restrictions must be established with a clear balance of the need for security and our ability to operate gliders in a responsible manner. Our concern is that this expansion is not just a temporary step but, rather, an indication of changes we may face throughout the system. Because of this SSA must join strongly with M-ASA to question the situation and to seek a working solution."
