Log Book Endorsements - Instructors Beware!
We recently heard of an applicant for a Commercial Glider Pilot's license being turned down because the endorsements (pre-printed) in his pilot's log book did not cite the correct FARs. Instructors signing off students for solo or signing off applicants for pilot's licenses, etc., will want to make sure that the correct FARs are noted in the endorsement. This can be done by simply changing the referenced FARs at the time the Instructor makes a log book endorsement. The SSA has a new supply of pilot log books with the correct FAR references.
