Jason Stephens wins third straight Aerobatic Glider National Champion Title

September 28, 2008 - While attending the 2007 US Aerobatic Championships in Sherman TX Jason Stephens, owner and operator of Arizona Soaring Inc., narrowly edged out Klein Gilhousen of Bozeman MT to take his third straight Aerobatic Glider National Title. Each year the Aerobatic Championships for both airplanes and gliders are held jointly with nearly a quarter of the pilots flying in glider categories. Many of the glider pilots are cadets or instructors from the USAF Academy. During the competition glider pilots are performing nearly all the same manuvers as their airplane counterparts including snaprolls, tail-slides, hammerheads and outside loops. Complete scoring results can be viewed at IAC.org

Jason Stephens, Klein Gilhousen and Jeremy Stacy will represent the USA at the 2009 World Glider Aerobatic Championships in Chambley France July 24-Aug 2 2009. Jason has also been invited to participate in the 2009 World Air Games to be held in Turin Italy.
