IGC to meet February 29

The International Gliding Commission will hold its annual meeting February 29 and March 1 in Rome, Italy. The meeting is open to the public, and the agenda is published on the IGC website.

IGC is responsible for promoting our sport at the international level. This includes sanctioning international contests, awarding the international medals and diplomas, and maintaining Section 3 of the FAI Sporting Code, the section that deals with the sport of Gliding (including all the rules regarding badges, world records, and international competitions).

This year, the Commission will consider, among other things:

Decisions made at these meetings affect all USA glider pilots, not just the US Team! If you have an opinion on how the US should vote on any of these issues, present it to your SSA Director.
