2015 Seniors Soaring Championship - Mar 19 Report

“Summer in Florida” – that was the short summary of today’s weather, which featured high temperatures (little short of 90 F), too much moisture, mediocre visibility, decent thermal lift and some chance of both vertical and horizontal cloud overdevelopment.

It clearly wasn’t our best day, but the overdevelopment threat didn’t really materialize until after nearly all pilots were home, speeds were fairly good, and all but a few completed the task.  We had a good crowd near the top of the scoresheet, with Bob Fletcher (ASG-29) and Henry Retting (Discus 2b) sharing first place and 1000 points each.
