Sports Class Nationals - Day 7 Weather

FORECAST DISCUSSION:

VFR SHOULD PREVAIL THROUGH THE PERIOD. WE ARE WATCHING A PATCH OF
IFR CIGS NORTHEAST OF THE METROPLEX TAF SITES WHICH HAVE BEEN
SLOWLY MOVING SOUTHWEST. IT SEEMS THESE CIGS HAVE BEEN CONFINED TO
AREAS THAT SAW MORE RAIN FROM YESTERDAY/S STORMS AND THEREFORE
SHOULD DISPERSE AS THEY MOVE INTO THE DRIER/WARMER URBAN AREAS.
HOWEVER WILL NEED TO KEEP AN EYE ON THEM FOR DFW/DAL TAFS THROUGH
MID MORNING. OTHERWISE VFR CIGS NEAR 050 WILL HANG AROUND THROUGH
MIDDAY WITH A CLEARING THIS AFTERNOON. GENERALLY CLEAR SKIES WILL
PREVAIL OVERNIGHT AND TOMORROW. LIGHT SOUTHEAST WINDS THIS MORNING
WILL BECOME LIGHT EAST/NORTHEAST THIS AFTERNOON...RETURNING TO THE
SOUTHEAST TONIGHT.

TRIGGER:

TEMP: 86 F     TIME: 1 PM     FORECAST HIGH: 96

LIFT:

STRENGTH: 350 FPM      HEIGHT: 3500 AT LAUNCH. 6000 LATER. MAYBE CLOUDS.

TAF:

KDFW 241120Z 2412/2518 11005KT P6SM BKN050 BKN200
  FM241800 08005KT P6SM SCT060
  FM250100 15005KT P6SM SKC

COMMENTS: Mostly sunny, with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 100. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon. CHALLENGE WILL BE THE CLOUDS CURRENTLY PRESENT. HIGH CLOUDS ARE MOVING SOUTH AND I THINK WILL CLEAR THE AREA. MID LEVEL CLOUDS ARE SUPPOSED TO DISSIPATE BY MID DAY. UNFORTUNATELY, FORECAST HIGHS HAVE DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY SINCE YESTERDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL GRADUALLY CLIMB ALL DAY INSTEAD OF HEATING UP AND STAYING HOT ALL AFTERNOON. LIGHT EAST/NORTHEAST WINDS 5-10 KNOTS.

LOOKS LIKE GREAT WEATHER TOMORROW FOR DRIVING (OR FLYING) HOME.
