MAY PLAY A ROLE WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES AND CONVECTIVE CHANCES

ACROSS OUR NORTHERN COUNTIES TODAY. THE BOUNDARY IS FORECAST TO

STALL NORTH OF INTERSTATE 20 BY THIS AFTERNOON AND IS EXPECTED TO

BE A FOCUS FOR ISOLATED TO SCATTERED STORMS. THE CLOUD DEBRIS

OVER OKLAHOMA IS EXPECTED TO SCATTER BY THE TIME IT MOVES OVER

NORTH TEXAS AND SHOULD ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO HEAT UP CLOSE TO

ADVERTISED HIGH TEMPERATURES. TRENDS ON THE FWD SOUNDINGS THE PAST

24 HOURS SHOW SUBSIDENCE IS WEAKENING WITH GRADUAL LIFTING OF THE

CAPPING INVERSION. CONVECTIVE TEMPERATURES WILL BE EASILY REACHED

THIS AFTERNOON WITH INVERTED-V PROFILES IN VICINITY OF THE OUTFLOW

BOUNDARY NORTH OF INTERSTATE 20. WIND SHEAR AND MID LEVEL LAPSE

RATES ARE FORECAST TO BE WEAK AND ONLY EXPECT A FEW STRONG TO

MARGINALLY SEVERE STORMS LATER TODAY WITH FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND

GUSTY DOWNBURST WINDS BEING THE MAIN THREATS. STORMS SHOULD WEAKEN

AFTER SUNSET THIS EVENING WITH THE LOSS OF DAYTIME HEATING. LOW

CHANCES WILL BE HELD ONTO OVERNIGHT IN ADVANCE OF A COLD FRONT

MOVING SOUTH THROUGH OKLAHOMA...WHICH ARRIVES INTO THE CWA BETWEEN

MIDNIGHT AND MIDDAY TUESDAY.
