Region 6 South - R6 South Practice Day

The day started out to be very promising with the weather report by John Lubon predicting clouds as high as 5000 ft MSL (at CCSC - 4000 ft AGL). A TAT was called for 1-CCSC, 36-Outlet Mall, 18-Grimes, 22-Neals, 32-Morrow, and return to CCSC. Grid time was 1200 (noon) and the sniffer was launched at 12:22 only to struggle and relaunch at 1:19. when he reported lift through 3500 MSL the launch was started with cu in all quadrants. But the day was a real teaser. although there were some climbs to 5000MSL, most of the cu were a bust and the course proved very difficult.

Distance was the name of the day and John Cotter (4X) flew 60.94 Miles handicapped with John Lubon second and Dan Reagan third
