Region V South - Day 4 Morning Report

We enjoyed the traditional Fish Fry last nite put on by the Cordele Chamber of Commerce.  Genuine Southern Hospitality and some real nice folks.  Larry Goddard "01" entertained us with some of the great country songs he has written recently.  Larry donated all of the tips from his performance to the U.S. Soaring Team Fund ($285).  Thanks, Larry, we really enjoyed your music!

Weatherman Scott Fletcher forecasts 20% chance of thunderstorms, cu's, visibilty 5-10 knots, winds aloft wnw at 6 knots, 93 is the forecast high temp.  Models disagree on thermal heights...anywhere between 4 and 7,000 feet.  Oh yeah, the freezing level is 14,952 feet.  Haha. 

Today's safety talk on thermaling etiquette was presented by Fernando Silva.
