World Class Championship - Day Eight Report

Sunday, 28 June, was a complete bust, which didn’t affect the PW-5s as this was declared a “down day” for them.  Anyway, the weather was bad from the start.  The 1-26ers couldn’t even push out for a grid.  We did however hold our “real” pancake breakfast. The pancakes, juice, mixed fruit and sausage was a huge hit and the fellowship that took place among contestants, Albuquerque Soaring Club members, and contest staff was worth the trip out to the field.  The Contest Director cancelled flying early and turned the horde loose for another opportunity to increase the economy of New Mexico. Monday, however, was looking good.
